The 2006 Lucas Oil Super Comp Association held its first
two races of the 2006 season at California Dragway with a
record number of entries on both days of a beautiful
Southern California weekend.

Seventy-two cars entered Saturdays opening event, with
Andy Spiegel qualifying number one with an 8.900.  Danny
Fuentes won his first Super Comp race with a final round
win over Charlie Waggoner Jr.

Larry Madrid led 65-qualifiers going into Sunday's
eliminations.  Sarah Kelso came back from an incident
during Saturdays race when her car tangled with the top
end net.  Sarah used Ryan Tietz' dragster on Sunday, and
drove the car to the winner's circle.  She beat Bakersfield
racer Joe Ghyselinck in the final round, running a perfect
9.900.  Congratulations to Sarah and the Tietz family!

It will be vacation time for the Lucas Super Comp series, as
no series events are scheduled until June 3-4 at Fontana.
A race at Auto Club Famoso Raceway may be scheduled
during April.  Keep in touch for additional information.
