Chris Forsyth--Race #3 Champion
Mandy Quigley--Race #4 Champion
Forsyth, Quigley latest Lucas Oil / K&N Super Comp winners

Chris Forsyth and Mandy Quigley went to the winner’s circle of the third and fourth
races of the 2008 Lucas Oil Super Comp Association presented by K & N Filters
championship series at Auto Club Dragway.  The event attracted 48 entries for
Saturday’s contest, and 52 for Sunday’s race.

Bobby Dye Jr. defeated Forsyth in the semifinals of Top Dragster at the NHRA-Lucas
Oil Drag Racing Series event in early May at Auto Club Dragway before winning the
event, but this time it was Forsyth stopping Dye in the late afternoon final in Fontana.
Forsyth grabbed the win with an 8.942 and .039 light as Dye lost with an 8.928 and .
046 light for a magin-of-victory of .007 seconds.  In the semi, Forsyth defeated Aaron
Kinard while Dye got a single.  Dye picked up the Bonaco Top Qualifier award for
running a perfect 8.900 in qualifying.

Mandy Quigley was eleventh in last years points standings, but her final round win over
Robert Kennyon has the Quigley Family dragster solidly in the top five as the season
approaches the mid-point.  Mandy ran an easy 9.05, 168.32 in the final as Kennyon
fouled by .010 seconds, losing with an 8.920, 147 with his ’95 Yancer dragster.

Kennyon denied Forsyth an opportunity to go to two finals in one weekend, as he used
a .005 light and 8.903 in the semi to best the Fig-Speed dragster, losing with a too
quick 8.977.  Quigley had a bye into the final.  Andrew Ablott was the top qualifier for
race four with an 8.902 for the Bonaco Top Qualifier award.

The next race on the Lucas Oil / K&N Super Comp schedule is August 9 &
10 at Auto Club Dragway.
Next Race:
August 9 & 10, 2008 at Auto Club Dragway
Fontana, California
The Lucas Oil Super Comp Association's next event will be August 9-10, 2008 at Auto Club Dragway.

Drag Racing Series event of the season, defeating the K&N Filters/See's Candies
dragster in the final round.  Kinard & Boutte cut identical .016 lights in the final, with
Aaron getting the win light with a 9.337 second, 150 mph time to Greg's 9.350, 170
